Restoration of the Prophet's Office in True Function

In the current Christian Faith Community, the prophet’s office today is characterized by a wide variety of utterances moving the Church in many different directions. These prophecies have one predominate, common theme: they all target the themes and affairs of human life. They address human fears, human frailties, direction for one’s personal life, business life, family life, assignments one must carry out for prosperity, the fulfillment of one’s personal dreams, passions, relationships, jobs, wealth, or concerning predicting healings, good marriages, household salvation, future events, so called “seasons” of opportunity arising, direction for the coming calendar year, or coming changes in the Church.

When the Prophet’s Office is used to address the human need, the Prophet’s Office is removed from the Headship of Christ. Prophecy that comes from the Prophet’s office addressing themes of life is a misdirection of prophecy and causes believers to 1) order their expectation of Christ’s ministry to the resolution of unfavorable circumstances in life (the yoke of the flesh) 2) order their expression of faith by another record and another spirit. This misdirection of prophecy resets the value of Christ to the common things of the earth and does not carry the Witness of the Father. Under these conditions we see how Christians suffer when the predictions do not come to pass and the soul does not increase according to its divine design. This always results in frustration, confusion, anxiety and perplexity, as Christian begin to doubt God’s love and care and their own sincerity and commitment. This is not how God designed for the Prophet’s Office to function toward the Body of Christ. God did not design prophecy to follow themes and issues wherein it would cause wounding to the Body of Christ.

Current examples of misdirection of prophecy:

1. 2007 Year of Perfection

2. 2007 Year of Open Door

3. Sow $777 and see God bring to pass all his promises to you and your family

4. Become a child of 2008 and experience God bringing you into your destiny as you sow an uncommon seed of $208 dollars or $2008.

5. God is going to do (this, that...anything you can imagine) if you will sow a firstfruit offering.

In this hour of the Great Transition we are taking the faith of the Church off of the battlefield of the flesh and the true prophets of God will prophesy concerning the Covenant of Jesus Christ and the rebuilding of the Temple of Christ. They will prophesy in truth concerning the character, purpose and plan of God and give hope, comfort, exhortation to the saints and their prophecies will carry strong distinction between the kingdoms as they give direction, warning and reward to they who build by the whole stones of Christ's truth as living stones of His temple.
